‘Taste of Lapeer’ To Benefit LACADA
The 23rd Annual Taste of Lapeer fundraising event is this Thursday (10/8) at 5:30 PM at the Lapeer County Club. Sample delicacies from area restaurants and bid on a trip to Mackinaw Island, a one-of-a-kind hot air balloon ride or a special tasting event for you and 13 of your favorite guests with Mike Romaine from The Mulefoot Gastropub. There will be exclusive VIP wine tastings, custom made jewelry and much more. All proceeds go directly to LACADA, Lapeer County’s domestic violence emergency shelter and outreach program. LACADA services include Safe Shelter, a 24-hour Crisis Hotline, Crisis Intervention, support groups and personal advocacy. All services are free of charge and confidential. Tickets are $50 in advance and can be purchased online at lacada.org or by calling 810-667-4193. Tickets sold at the door are $65.
