The Doors' Robby Krieger is really happy with the remastered and expanded edition of the album "L.A. Woman" that's on the way. The guitarist tells Billboard.com they were able to find a lot of outtakes and alternate versions of the songs, which are included in the set.  He says he thinks the various renditions of the tracks are "interesting because you can see how different songs developed and changed from one take to the next."  Krieger adds that the album's title cut ended up "quite different from what it started out as."  The rocker calls the "L.A. Woman" outtakes "an amazing find," because very few outtakes from The Doors' recording sessions still exist.  He explains that their label was small, and as a result didn't save the unused material but erased the tapes for other bands to use.
The new "L.A. Woman" will be released early next year.  However, The Doors will be issuing a limited edition "L.A. Woman Singles Box" on November 25th.  The four-disc set includes "Riders on the Storm," "Love Her Madly," and "The Changeling" on vinyl.
