You are invited to attend 'The History of Rosie The Riveter' on January 27 (1/27 from 2 PM to 3:30 PM) at Marguerite de Angeli Library. Dannaleen Lanktree from the American Rosie the Riveter Association will tell stories she has collected from real Rosies. Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of World War II. With American men enlisting in the war effort and the work force quickly diminished, Rosie The Riveter represented women who worked in factories and shipyards during the war, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies. Call 810-664-6971 to register and for more information. Marguerite de Angeli Library is located at  921 W Nepessing Street in Lapeer.
