When faced with recording a new album shortly after a stay at the Betty Ford Clinic, Ozzy Osbourne found out there’s no rest for the wicked - not even for the Prince of Darkness.
His music thrived in the turbulence that surrounded his life but it did few favors for "The Ultimate Sin." Released on February 22, 1986, the album spawned only one hit single — “Shot in the Dark” — and was generally regarded as one of his lesser efforts. “It’s fair to say you can possibly find the worst song I’ve written on the Ultimate Sin album” Osbourne told Guitar Center. “I don’t think anyone goes into the studio with the intention of making a bad record but it was like ‘Liberace takes acid’ at that point.
