Tiger Pitchers Pounded for 16 Run in Loss

Tiger pitchers can only hope that the New York Mets are getting tired of swinging the bat … because nothing else seems to be able to stop them.  It got so bad for the pitching staff that infielder Don Kelly finished the game on the mound.  It also turns out, he was the only Tiger pitcher to NOT allow a run.  The Tigers did manage to hit five home runs in the 16 – 9 loss.  The two teams wrap up the series today with a day game at Comerica Park.  Justin Verlander takes the mound for the Tigers today.  Hopefully he can stop the Met juggernaut.
