Tigers’ DH On DL

Victor Martinez has been put on the 15-day disabled list by the Tigers with inflammation in his left knee after struggling in his return from offseason knee surgery. He appeared to aggravate the already injured knee in Monday’s game against the Brewers while trying to beat out a ball at first. He went 0 for 4 in the 3-2 loss to Milwaukee. The Tigers will recall Tyler Collins from Toledo to fill in the roster spot. Manager Brad Ausmus reportedly said V-Mart did not want to go on the DL and the decision was not up to him.
