Tigers Open Up Mariner Series with Win

What a great, “late” night of sports last night!  With both major sports franchises in action on the west coast, the Red Wings were on Fox Sportsnet and the Tigers on Fox Sportsnet Plus.  That being said … there will be a lot of tired folks at their places of employment today.  Both games ended after 1am.  The final score … Detroit 8 and the Seattle Mariners 3.  The big hit of the night … a bases clearing triple by Jhonny Peralta.  The Tigers and Mariners play game 2 of their three game set tonight at Safeco Field.
