Tigers Pound Twins in Series Opener

The Detroit Tigers managed to find a way to make up for starter Rick Porcello’s erratic pitching performance to beat the Minnesota Twins last night, 8 – 1.  Tiger hitters picked up 16 hits, with Delmon Young, Ryan Raburn and Miguel Cabrera picking up 3 hits apiece.  The Tigers and Twins go at it again today, with ace Justin Verlander taking the mound in an afternoon tilt.
