How many times have you said "I wish they'd put a traffic light here"? Well the day has finally arrived. A traffic signal on Imlay City Road at the east access road to the store has been installed by the Lapeer Department of Public Works and will be fully-operational on Monday (8/1). The majority of the estimated $136,000 cost of the signal was paid for by the Arkansas-based retailer. Extra police enforcement has helped slow down drivers along this dangerous stretch but it's hoped that a new signal at the east entrance will also slow down the growing number of injury accidents after the store was converted to a Super Walmart store.
