Detroit Tiger Justin Verlander sent 14 Yankees walking back to the bench last night in a 7-2 win at home against New York. The 14 Strikeouts tied his career high. Justin went eight innings deep with 132 pitches and received a huge Detroit Roar from the sold-out crowd on his way to the dug-out after his final strikeout. Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera both had home run shots in the game to ensure Detroit came out on top. The Tigers have won 5 straight and are in game two of a four game home  stand against the New York Yankees. Rick Porcello is up on the mound tonight and is looking to have a Verlander-like performance of his own.

Go Tigers!
