Not sure what to make of this, but I'm sure you will have some strong opinions on the matter.

Mlive.com is reporting that the City of Burton has agreed to fork over $125,000 to settle a lawsuit from two former election clerks who claim they were shown the door when they raised concerns about possible voting irregularities.

The lawsuit was filed back in 2014 and has now been settled. Included in the settlement agreement, there was also wording to clear the employment files of the two former clerks along with any sort of firing documents and allowing them to officially resign the positions instead of being fired.

According to the Mayor of Burton Paula Zelenko, there was no wrong doing by the city and the decision to settle was a purely financial decision to save the city from costly appeals.
