Even though today's track came after Duane Allman's death, it always sounded to me like it could've been on the first or second Allman Brothers album.  'Southbound' has all the ingredients and feel of those magical early recordings, no doubt resting many fans concerns of how the band was going to be without Duane.  'Brothers and Sisters' went on to be their first really big commercial success, thanks in part to Dickey Betts stepping up to a more prominent front role in the band, writing many of the albums songs, including 'Ramblin' Man' and today's track, even though Gregg sings it.  Check it out y'all!  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.
