A good marriage is a partnership, don't you think? It would take a good marriage, and a great sense of adventure to make it through the race I am going to introduce you to! Watch the video after the jump.

Entries to the race must be a man and a woman, at least 21, and women may carry their husbands, although the majority of teams find the husband carrying the wife. The course is 278 yards, and consists of mud bogs, sand pits, hurdles, and water hazards. The first person across the finish line receives a cash prize and his wife's weight in beer! You will find this event in Nemry, Maine this coming weekend, with 52 couples entered already.

Wife carrying is an international sport! Who knew? Maybe we will see this in the Olympics someday.
