Kris Draper is expected to announce his retirement with the Detroit Red Wings today.  Draper was acquired by GM Ken Holland for one dollar from the Winnipeg Jets back in 1993.

Draper went on to be a solid player with the Wings for 17 seasons, where he became a member of the Grind Line with Kirk Maltby and Darren McCarty.  Draper likely will accept a job within the Red Wings organization.
