Not everyone who has sung the National Anthem at a sporting event has sung it well. Think Roseanne Barr or more recently Fergie. Ouch. If you DO have a good singing voice and DO know the words - you could be singing the National Anthem at a Detroit Lions game.

This honor does, of course, require an audition. The details are as follow per the Detroit Lions website:

The Detroit Lions are looking for national anthem singers for the 2018-2019 NFL season. Artists are welcome to audition for a coveted opportunity to sing in front of 65,000 fans at Ford Field. Don’t miss this opportunity to perform for the number one fans in all of professional sports and represent the greatest country of all, the United States of America.

The auditions consist of a phased elimination process starting with a video submission. If you would like to be considered, please follow the directions below. Due to the high volume of submissions, results will be emailed 2 to 4 weeks after receipt. Candidates who will be invited to move on to the next phase of the audition process will be notified via email with additional logistics and details.
