Boating is one of Michigan's greatest pastimes to enjoy in the summer.

When it comes to getting out on the lake during the summer in Michigan, we don't have to search very far to find a great spot to go to. Just in our area along, I've had a great time boating with friends on Lake Fenton, Ponemah Lake, and Holloway Reservoir. Add to that all the other lakes I haven't been out on like Silver Lake, Lobdell Lake, and so many more.

If you are ready to hitch up the boat and try some new spots, here are 10 great spots in Michigan to check out according to Michigan.org. With that said, any of my boat friends have a couple of extra spots they want me to fill on the next trip? I'll bring booze and gas money!

Les Cheneaux Islands - Lake Huron

I have never heard of these islands until today, but I really want to go check them out.

Torch Lake

Torch Lake has been on my bucket list for many years now. I've been invited to go but never had the chance. I really need to make this happen because it looks like a blast.

Lake St. Clair - Detroit

Being a native of St. Clair Shores, I am very familiar with Lake St. Clair. There are so many cool spots to enjoy a day both on the water and off.

Spring Lake and Lake Michigan - Grand Haven

Another spot that I know little about, but from all the pictures it looks like a place I need to check out.

Big Manistique Lake

Lake Charlevoix

In all of my life, I don't think I have ever been to Charlevoix. I'm finding out that there are a lot of places I still need to see in the Mitten.

Grand Lake

Mullet Lake

I feel in need to visit Mullet Lake simply for the name and that I can say I've been there.

Lake Leelanau

Lake Leelanau actually contains two bodies of water and referred to as North Lake Leelanau and South Lake Leelanau.

Gull Lake

If you have any favorite boating spots that the world needs to know about, let us know.
