Get Some Laughs With Friends at These 13 MI Comedy Clubs

Michigan has comedy clubs in Ann Arbor, Novi, Kalamazoo, Royal Oak, and more for you to get some laughs in.

I'm a big fan of stand-up comedy, but up until today, I didn't think we had as many options as we do throughout Michigan. I have been to Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, but never thought to look for others until now.

Most of the comedy shows I have been to have either been at Ridley's or in big theatres. After a bit of research, I found several more that I want to check out. Now let me clarify what this list is about. I decided to search for actual comedy clubs. Yes, I know there are a lot of places in every city that have comedy nights and shows, but for this list wanted to search for actual clubs devoted to the art. Also, I may be missing some so feel free to leave them in the comments so I can add them.

Don't get me wrong, I love local, mom & pop type places that bring in great comedians here and there. Comedy night at Maxies in Flint back in the day was one of my favorite things to go to every were. However, for this list, I wanted to focus on comedy-based businesses. The only two slight exceptions I made were Big Tommy's and Comedy at the Cellar Lounge. These two in particular seem like they are really trying to build actual comedy rooms within or attached to existing businesses.
