Family Dollar announced that it will be liquidating items and closing its doors on June 30th.

More than 323 Family Dollar stores will be closing, including 20 right here in Michigan. More than 150 workers in 15 cities will be losing their jobs as the stores will be sold to rival Dollar General.

Below are a list of the stores closing in Michigan

Detroit  - 5 stores closing 

Grand Rapids - 2 stores closing 

Wyoming - 1 store closing 

Highland Park - 1 store closing 

Benton Harbor - 1 store closing 

Inkster - 1 store closing 

Eastpointe - 1 store closing 

Holland - 1 store closing 

Mount Morris - 1 store closing 

Portage - 1 store closing 

Lansing - 1 store closing 

Burton - 1 store closing 

Ferndale - 1 store closing 

Oak Park - 1 store closing 

Saginaw - 1 store closing 

According to a press release the stores will be converted to Dollar Generals in the coming months. The 323 stores closing were all part of a 330 store deal sold to Dollar Tree after they bought out Family Dollar in 2015.
