3-Year-Old Girl’s Death in Mt. Morris Twp. Considered Suspicious

Police in Mt. Morris Township are investigating the death of a 3-year-old girl which they say is being considered suspicious.

Mt. Morris Police Chief Terence Green tells WNEM that officers responded to a call in the 4400 block of Elms Rd. around 10:30 this morning. (7/30) The mother, whose identity has not yet been revealed, said her daughter was not breathing. The child was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

During transportation in the ambulance, an officer observed suspicious injuries on the toddler's body.

Police investigators plan to interview the girl's parents but have yet to make any arrests.
