This Halloween, it's time to put as much thought into your beverage consumption as you do your costume selection. Judging from your costume, you didn't put ANY thought into it so let's just concentrate on the drinks. The typical beer and booze is getting older than the sexy nurse costume. It's time to get a little nutty with the Halloween booze.

Here are seven awesomely creepy drink recipes compliments of the good people over at DonQ.

  • Bloody Rum Punch

    Small bottle – Dry Red Wine
    One bottle – DonQ Cristal
    6 oz – Simple Syrup
    6 oz – Fresh Lime Juice
    2 – Limes
    2 – Oranges

    Mix one bottle of DonQ Cristal, the red wine, triple sec, simple syrup, and lime juice in a punch bowl. Slice the fruit into thin wheels and add to the mixture. Stir using two bar spoons, mashing up some of the pulp as you stir. Refrigerate for 2 hours and serve.

  • Red Rum Cocktail

    2 1/2 oz – DonQ Gold
    1 oz – Fresh Lemon Juice
    1 oz – Simple Syrup
    1 tsp – Grenadine
    2 dashes – Maraschino Liqueur

    Pour DonQ Gold, lemon juice, simple syrup, grenadine and maraschino liqueur into the cocktail glass. Cover with the shaker, shake well, and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.

  • Limon-Stro

    2 1/2 oz – DonQ Limon
    1 1/2 oz – Pineapple Juice
    1 oz – Melon Liqueur
    Sprig – Fresh Mint
    Add Limón and pineapple juice to the mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 5-7 seconds. Fill another glass with crushed ice and pour. Garnish with mint and slowly add melon liqueur to get a layered effect.

  • Screamer

    1 1/2 oz – DonQ Anejo
    3/4 oz – Orange Curacao Liqueur
    2 oz – Sour Mix
    Rim a Martini glass with an orange wedge. Then rim with sugar and cinnamon. Pour the Añejo, curacao, and fresh, homemade sour mix into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a martini glass.

  • Evil Green Eye

    1 oz – DonQ Limon
    1 oz – DonQ Mojito
    1/2 oz – Melon Liqueur
    1/2 oz – Sour Mix
    1/2 oz – Club Soda

    Add DonQ Limón, DonQ Mojito, melon liqueur, sour mix, and club soda to a shaker. Shake gently, strain, and serve in a highball glass.

  • Blood and Tears

    2 oz – Gran Anejo
    2 oz – Horchata
    .5 oz – Honey Syrup
    2.5 tbs. – Diced Red Bell Pepper
    2 – Small Diced Habano Peppers
    Splash – Peychaud's Bitters
    1 – Cinnamon Stick
    Pour DonQ Añejo, horchata, and honey syrup into the shaker. Add the peppers and muddle together. Add ice and give a good shake. Strain into a martini glass. Add 2-3 drops of Peychaud's Bitters. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon.

  • Sucker Punch

    15 oz – DonQ Anejo
    5 oz – DonQ Limon
    5 oz – Lime Juice
    20 oz – Apple Cider
    10 oz – Hibiscus Tea & Ginger Syrup
    10 oz – Distilled Water
    Thin slices of Fuji Apples
    Pour all of the ingredients into a large punch bowl and whisk together. Add dry ice (be careful!).
