John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded “Give Peace A Chance” 46 years ago today in Room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal during their second Bed-In For Peace (May 26, 1969 - June 2, 1969). Their first bed-in was staged during their honeymoon at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam. “So we would sell our product, which we call ‘peace.’ And to sell a product you need a gimmick and the gimmick we thought was ‘bed’” said John. Join me for a couple of tracks from the Fab Four weekday mornings at 6:30. Got a song request? Let me know what it is by clicking on the website’s Beatles Breakfast Jam tab and entering it on the Request Form.
