I've wanted to do radio since I was a little kid. I joined the staff at 105-FM WWCK in 1977 and stayed until we were all fired in 1988. I then joined Cars 108 WCRZ for ONE NIGHT in 1989. Please don't remind J. Patrick of this. I've worked at various stations ever since, currently afternoons on US1031 WQUS. I also do photography. Check it out on jeffholbrook.com.

Seger Tackles British Blues Rock on Today’s Vault
Another "true vinyl" offering on today's show, since "Back In 72" was never released on CD (and quite possibly never will be). I digitized my copy of the album for your pleasure, which was a labor of love. Seger was still in "O.P.'s" mode a year later, with some tracks being written by "other People"...

And I've got TWO of them for you (pictured) if you win today on Lyrical Pursuit. How cool would these look on your table while you munch from them during a horror movie! Thanks to our friends at Dollar General and General Mills Monster Cereals...
Early Bryan Adams – Today’s Vinyl Vault
Forget the soapy ballads and love songs - Bryan Adams had cool beginnings before he hit it big. The first album in 1980 went nowhere here in the States but turned some heads in Canada. The second one was huge in Canada and even enjoyed pockets of success down here, thanks to radio getting on Fits Ya Good, today's track, which shows a gritty and raw Bryan Adams, far removed from what he would do

Very Cool Traffic – Today’s Vinyl Vault
The last album that Traffic made came in 1974 under the title When The Eagle Flies. It wasn't their biggest project but did produce a fan fave, Walking In The Wind, which we dust off for today's track. Some honest to goodness hippie folk rock...

No Begging Necessary – Nazareth on Today’s Vinyl Vault
A fan fave by Nazareth gets on today, Beggar's Day from their biggest album, Hair Of The Dog. It didn't get the attention the bigger hits got but maybe that's a good thing - we're not sick of it! Plus you'll get two for one; I like tracking Rose In The Heather, right after it...

A ‘Portrait’ of Kansas – Today’s Vinyl Vault
Mid-West progressive rockers Kansas were so huge at one time, it's hard to believe that only 2 of their songs get any kind of airplay anymore, and for the most part, only on classic rock stations! Well, that may be a good thing though...
