Don't miss your chance to hear two great nights of music and see world class talent in downtown Lapeer this weekend at the Fifth Annual Blues Festival at the PIX Theatre.

Former Fleetwood Mac lead guitar player Rick Vito opens the festival weekend tonight (2/1) at 7:30 PM. Vito is a featured player on Bob Seger albums and played the famous slide guitar solo on the song and Chevy truck ad 'Like A Rock.' He collaborated with Mick Fleetwood to produce a Grammy Award nominated CD/DVD in 2010 and is a winner of the prestigious W. C. Handy Blues Award. Check out Rick with Bob in "Like a Rock"

Madcat Midnight Blues Journey takes the stage tomorrow night (2/2) at 7 PM. Conducted by harmonica wizard Peter Madcat Ruth, this eclectic electric quartet is fueled by the guitar and steel fireworks of Drew 'Captain Midnight' Howard, and propelled by the mighty rhythm section of bassist Mark 'Papa' Schrock and drummer Michael 'Kid' Shimmin.
Wrapping up the festival at 8:30 PM are The Bluz Brothers, an eight piece band dedicated to the great R&B sounds made popular by Jake and Elwood Blues of Calumet City, Illinois. It is their mission to carry on the tradition until the "boys" make parole or until incarcerated themselves -- whichever comes first.

Ticket prices in advance are $19 for adults per show, $17 for seniors, students and military per show. Ticket prices at the door are $22 for adults, $20 for students, seniors, and military. A ticket package including all three shows is $45. Tickets are available online at centerfortheartslapeer.org, by phone at 810-664-4824 or at The PIX Box Office Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM–6 PM.

The PIX Theatre is located at 172 West Nepessing Street in downtown Lapeer.
