‘Check Your Panties’ News Blooper Is Internet Gold
One missing "r" turned this segment into something much more memorable than it should've been.
Eric Phillips, the morning anchor with WWBT, in Richmond, Va., had a slip of the tongue when talking about a slow cooker recall. He was supposed to say, "Check your pantries," but the script mistakenly said, "Check your panties," a boo-boo co-anchor Karla Redditte pointed out to everyone:
Phillips and Redditte certainly got a laugh out of the matter -- as have the good people of the internet -- but you gotta think the writer has a few questions to answer. If nothing else, let this as a reminder that everyone needs an editor because we can botch even the simplest sentences.
