According to the Lapeer County Sheriff's Department Mounted Division facebook page. A pack of coyotes attacked and killed one of the Mounted Division member’s horses yesterday. LCSD Mounted member who lives on the boarder of Lapeer and Oakland counties, (area of East Oakwood and Hosner Road), reported that at approximately 3 pm on Sunday that their horse was attacked and killed by a pack of coyotes.

Both DNR and Oakland County responded to the call. The horse was up near the barn and less than 150’ from the house and was eating grain when the attacked occurred. Normally coyotes tend to stay away from building and hunt more a night.
