The seven high energy musicians of CrossBow will take the stage at The PIX Theatre on Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 PM with a set list of pop and classic folk tunes true to their Celtic roots.

I had the chance to see CrossBow for the first time at the Flint Scottish Pipe Band’s Annual Winter Ceilidh this past weekend. They’re my new favorite Celtic band -- after the Chieftains, of course.

CrossBow was founded in 2011 in a small Grand Valley State University music practice room. With just two violins and a guitar, the three young musicians never expected to showcase their traditional Irish music much beyond campus hallways and local pubs.

As CrossBow grew in numbers, so did its repertoire. Incorporating pop and classic folk tunes into their set list, today the band delivers a distinct, eclectic vibe that remains true to their Celtic roots and appeals to audiences of all ages. If you enjoy Celtic music, you're sure to love Crossbow.
