The Detroit Lions continue to confuse fans with their off season moves.

News broke this afternoon that the Detroit Lions have agreed to trade Darius Slay to the Eagles. The Eagles will get an all-star shut down Cornerback in Slay, while the Lions will get a third and fifth round draft pick. According to ESPN, Slay immediately signed a 3 year, $50 Million deal with the Eagles.

This move comes on the heels of a couple of questionable moves by the Lions, with the biggest coming when they released Devon Kennard. Fans were baffled as to why the Lions would release a young player who has only been improving season after season. The Lions released the following statement on Instagram.

I don't want to pretend to know what the Lions strategy is through this process. Normally I'm one to try and defend the moves, but the latest series of personnel changes make no sense.

Maybe things will become more clear after the draft, where the Lions have the third pick, and are apparently in the market to try and get more.
