Doctor Seuss Birthday Celebration at the Goodland Township Library
Celebrate the anniversary of the 114th birthday of Doctor Seuss with birthday cake, stories, crafts and more on Saturday, March 3 (3/3), at the Goodland Township Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an American author, political cartoonist, poet, animator, book publisher and artist, best known for authoring more than sixty children's books under the pen name Doctor Seuss, according to Wikipedia.
His books express views on a variety of political and social issues from the consumerism and materialism of Christmas in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! to environmentalism and anti-consumerism in The Lorax.
Dr. Suess came up with some great book titles like...Cat in the Hat, The Five Hundred Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who, I Am Not Going to Get up Today!, Mister Brown Can Moo, Can You, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, The Seven Lady Godivas, Shape Of Me And Other Stuff, There's a Wocket in My Pocket!, Thidwick, the Big-Hearted Moose, and Yertle the Turtle & Other Stories just to name a few.
