DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, has permanently changed its address to '33 Bob Seger Drive'.

The number 33 was picked for a very specific and special reason. Tomorrow night, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band kick off what will be the first of six sold-out shows this month at the Michigan venue. This will bring the total number of times Seger has played at DTE (formerly Pine Knob), to 33 - hence the address. I love it.

I was lucky enough to meet Bob Seger many years ago. I sold him a pontoon boat back in the day when I worked at a marina in Fenton. It was more than 20 years ago but I remember it like yesterday. He was nothing but kind, signed a few albums for me and posed for a picture (see below). It was a Polaroid picture if you can't tell. I wish it was in better shape.

Tomorrow, (6/6), will not be my first Bob Seger show, but it will most likely be my last. Congrats to Mr. Bob Seger on this awesome honor. What a cool tribute to the voice of pure Michigan rock.
