Elton John Postpones Tour Dates, Detroit Show Included

In a recent release it was announced Elton John will be postponing a portion of dates on his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour.

The postponed shows are those originally scheduled from March 26th through May 2nd of this year, though May 22nd through July 8th shows will carry on as scheduled.

Unfortunately, for any Michiganders hoping to head to Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit to see the show May 1st through the 2nd, that show will be rescheduled.

According to the release, current ticket holders will be notified of the postponed performances with new event information and all original tickets will still be honored at rescheduled dates.

"This tough decision has been made with the safety and well-being of his fans put to the fore," the release states. "At a time when health services are under increased pressure and with the concern that these gatherings risk accelerating the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)."
