Enjoy Outdoor Bathing At This Unique Michigan Airbnb
Not every vacation involves a concierge and 24-hour room service, and not everyone wants that either. Sometimes it is nice to get off the grid and get away from it all. If that is your idea of a great vacation - this Michigan Airbnb is for you.
'The Firsteris' is located in Bangor, Michigan. It is roughly a 2-hour and 40-minute drive from Flint and the Lapeer area. The population as of 2020 is less than 2000 people. No hustle, no bustle. If you don't enjoy being around people this spot is one-hundred percent for you.
The space is described as follows,
The Fisteris is a 365 sq ft. tiny house cabin on an organically grown blueberry farm. It was originally a Picker shack in the 1940s. We ask guests to bring their own linens, pillows, and bedding There are two narrow twins and a full-size mattress. This year we are treating The Fisteris as you would a Forest Service cabin. Pack out what you pack in and clean up after yourself for the next guest. We have a later checkout and a later check-in. This is concrete. If you ask for one, there will be no soup for you
The Fisteris is equipt with a fireplace and toaster oven. you need to bring your own cooler. There are three accessible lakes within a 4-mile radius that are great for boating, fishing, and swimming. When you arrive, park up front and take the 4x4 ATV left around the berry patch. ( it works just like a car. It has to start in neutral. This is for loading in and out. We will need to share this vehicle) To use the shower turn the hose spicket on there is a switch on the shower head itself.
It's just over a 2-mile ride into nearby Bangor or a ten-miler to the poplar South Haven for food and fun. We are just a few miles from the Van Buren county Trail system and that trail goes directly to Van Buren State Park ( the trails atop the Palisades that tower over the powerful Lake Michigan ) they also lead to South Haven. If you’re looking for a cross-country ski adventure, or scenic mountain bike or E-bike ride you’ve come to the right place. No one uses these trails. It’s a hidden gem.
This really is a nature lover's dream. Check out 'The Fisteris' below.
