Flapjacks Will Be Flying Thursday In Imlay City
It’s a Pancake Dinner Fundraiser for Imlay City’s Blueberry Festival tomorrow May 1st, at Weston Elementary School on Weston Street, in Imlay City.
Chris Cakes is a Guinness Book of World Records holder and has been featured on the Food Network. He holds the World Record for most pancakes made in an hour and highest pancake tossed and caught. You're invited to partake in his performance and eat his delicious pancakes during the fundraiser that will benefit Weston Elementary School and the 34th Annual Blueberry Festival.
Tickets for the dinner will be available at the door on Thursday, May 1, from 5-7pm. The cost for all-you-can-eat pancakes served with sausage, coffee, orange drink, syrup, and of course, blueberry topping, is $7 and free for children 2 and under.
June Bug and Spunky the Clown will provide free face painting and balloons during the evening and are sponsored by Frontier Communications. Children can also enter a coloring contest.
Raffles will be held throughout the evening and prizes include a four-foot stuffed blue bear, or ‘Blue Beary’, a family portrait package from Focus Studio-Simply the Best, 5 yards of mulch from Owen Tree Service and a gift basket filled with blueberry goodies including festival t-shirts, jam and salsa. Each family or group attending will receive one free raffle ticket and additional raffle tickets will be for sale during the dinner.
