Flushing Middle School Student Hit By High School Driver

The student from Flushing Middle School was hit by a vehicle on Monday afternoon while walking on Carpenter Road.

Around 2:45 pm on May 1st a middle school student was struck by a vehicle driven by a Flushing High School student. According to Flushing Township police the student was walking between Prestonwood Lane and Deland Road when he was hit by a vehicle. Both Flushing Middle and High School had just been let out for the day when the accident occurred.

Both the victim and the driver were taken to Hurley Medical Center. Currently there is no word on the condition of the driver or the student struck.
