An update on a story we brought you last month. The future of a Lapeer company remains in doubt.

ABC 12 reports that PNC bank has agreed to find buyers for three grain elevators - in Lapeer, Imlay City, and Capac - owned by the Lapeer Grain Company. The business has been under investigation by the Michigan Department of Agriculture after being unable to pay farmers for their crops and is no longer allowed to accept any more shipments.

ABC 12 also says that anyone who buys the three locations would have to guarantee farmers who have a contract for 2015 will be paid for next year's crop.
