Lapeer County's Drop-Off Recycling is a non-profit organization that offers a recycling program that happens on the first and third Saturday of each month. Bring your items to the site setup in the parking lot of the Lapeer Habitat for Humanity ReStore located at 1633 North Lapeer Road.

Gather up your plastics, metal cans, cardboard, office paper (not shredded), newspaper, magazines, paper and cardboard food containers, and glass. Clean Styrofoam is also accepted, and should be separated from other materials. The rest does not need to be sorted, though it should be clean of food residue.

The hours of operation are from 9 a.m.. until 1 p.m. and the cost is $4 per car. Hadley, Mayfield and Metamora townships pay for their residents to use the program. You can stop by your township hall and get a recycling card for free.

If you would like to volunteer to help or want more information you can call 810-245-0852.
