Grand Funk Railroad Goes Red White & Blue In July Of 1973

A band from Flint was rocking nationwide big time this week in 1973. Grand Funk Railroad’s single “We're An American Band" entered the music charts on its way to #1. The tune was the bands first #1 single. A month later the album of the same name would be #1. The song was written and song by drummer Don Brewer.
