It was this week a year ago that Greta Van Fleet the Frankenmuth based band played Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit in front of 1800 fans. Last night at the Fox Theatre they played to over 5,000 concertgoers at their first of three sold out shows.
Greta Van Fleet is made up of twin brothers Josh doing vocals, Jake playing lead guitar, brother Sam Kiszka on bass and Danny Wagner behind the drums. The band has had quite a year in 2018 with a very successful debut album "Anthem of the Peaceful Army" and four Grammy Award nominations for Best New Artist, Best Rock Song for "Black Smoke Rising," Best Rock Performance for "Highway Tune," and Best Rock Album for the band's double EP, "From The Fires."

Greta Van Fleet has gotten together with Gleaners Community Food Bank and is providing donation stations at the Fox Theatre performances. To help those less fortunate, concert goers can bring canned goods with them and drop off at collection bins as they enter the Fox.
