He's 85 years old today and he claims to be the architect of rock and roll and there's a long list musicians who agree with Little Richard.

Bob Seger in interview with the Chicago Tribune said that when he was 9 years old his dad taught him to play a bass ukulele, with songs by Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly and Little Richard. Bob says that Little Richard was the one that really got to me.
Starting in 1955 Little Richard had his first hit record with "Tutti Frutti". The success of the tune led to big hits like "Long Tall Sally" ,"Rip It Up" , "Lucille", "Keep a Knockin'" and the classic "Good Golly, Miss Molly".
