Help Decorate A Mitten Tree

Five branches of the Lapeer District Library – Lapeer, Columbiaville, Elba, Otter Lake and Metamora – will be collecting winter items for those in need with Mitten Trees. Handmade and store-bought hats, mittens gloves, scarves and socks in children through adult sizes will be collected until December 20 (12/20). All donations will be distributed to Lapeer County’s homeless shelter, The Refuge, and domestic violence shelter, LACADA. For more information, call 810- 664-6971.
