Seats are available for the Lapeer Skywarn “2014 Tornado Spotter Training.” The class happens at 7 pm on Thursday April 17th at Lapeer East High School, on Saginaw Street. Pre-registration is required at lapeerskywarn.org

Skywarn is a nationwide network of volunteer weather spotters who report to and are trained by the National Weather Service. These spotters report significant and severe weather such as severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, heavy snow and flooding.

The class is sponsored by; Lapeer County Amateur Radio Association, Lapeer CERT, National Weather National Weather Service – White Lake, and Lapeer County Office of Emergency Management.
