A fire Tuesday in an Imlay City mobile home that killed four children and hospitalized three other family members has left the community devastated and wondering how they can help.

Box 250, Lapeer, MI 48446.The family is asking that monetary donations be made through the bank rather than GoFundMe pages according to police because it cannot be verified that all online fundraisers will give money to the family.

Imlay City Kroger will be holding a fundraising event on Friday, March 1, 11 AM - 5 PM, Saturday, March 2, 12 PM - 5 PM and Sunday, March 3, 11 AM - 5 PM. Purchase a hot dog, chips and pop for $3. All proceeds will benefit the family.
