Investigators ID Man Found In River At Rotary Park

Police have identified a body found in Lapeer on Sunday as a 17-year-old from Lapeer County.

According to ABC 12 Jared Alexander Bristol of Attica Township was found dead in the Flint River at Rotary Park.

Lapeer City Police were called to the scene about 4:45 PM on August 26 and found Bristol floating face down in the middle of the river. He was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a red backpack. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be drowning.

The case remains open and under investigation.
