One of Michigan’s most iconic hotels is getting national attention—and it needs your vote to take the crown!
USA Today and 10Best are asking their readers "What's the Best Destination Hotel in the U.S."? These are the spots that offer "plush accommodations, top-notch dining, and a host of activities", offering a "complete vacation in a single package." A panel of travel experts picked 20 standout properties, and now the public will decide who takes the top ten spots.
The beloved Michigan hotel up for the honor is the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island!
Mackinac Island holds a special place in my heart. I used to vacation there as a kid and was completely obsessed with watching fudge being made, riding the ferry over, and exploring Fort Michilimackinac.

Plus, you can't beat the views of Lake Huron! As an adult, I love popping into the Pink Pony for a cocktail or grabbing a bite at Horn’s Gaslight Bar. It's no surprise to me that Mackinac Island has been voted the No. 1 summer vacation destination in the U.S.
