Michigan Football Announcer’s Random Tradition Made It Into College Football 25

For men in their 20's and 30's, the biggest video game this summer is one that is back after a ten year hiatus - EA Sports College Football 25. The boys are back, and excited to see that some new features have been added to the game since the last of the series was released in 2014.

In the new version of the game you have to deal with social and school related problems that can pop up off the field, including having to decide if you should go to class or not, and how to flirt with random girls.

Along with some of the new game mechanics, you'll also find a few hidden gems. One of the most fun ones was pointed out by tiktok user @Timbosliceoflife12 who noticed that one of the University of Michigan's most unique traditions was a hidden easter egg. If you didn't know, there is a running joke with Michigan's announcer giving the score for Slippery Rock at every game.   The joke started back in the 1930's when the school was having an incredibly great season, and came up in discussions about the best teams of the year.

While, they never brought home a national championship, over the decades people come back to how silly the school's name is, and then continue to make jokes at their expense. Someone once called them the 'Snoopy of College Football', which is adorable. Michigan actually invited them to come play in the Big House twice in the 1970's, which further fueled this fan obsession with the silliest name time in the NCAA.

That's why after many years, the announcers of the Michigan games started to add the score for Slippery Rock into the national scores that were being read aloud. Now it's become a fan favorite tradition to scream as loud as possible when you hear their name. And, they even included that detail into the game:
