Michigan Football is known for it's accolades. They are the winningest program in NCAAF history with 1004 to the program, and the second-highest winning percentage behind Ohio State... but just barely. They won the first Rose bowl, have 12 National Championships to their name, and have not only the largest stadium in all of college football, but in the entire country.

But even with a mountain of trophies, accomplishments, and broken records, there's still room to add more, and this week, Michigan did it again, and became the first ever team to do something NO other college football team has ever done before.

EA Sports released their cover, and release date for NCAAF '25 this week, and to nobody's surprise, a Michigan Wolverine was on the cover. Granted, three players actually made the cover - Texas' Quinn Ewers, Colorado's Travis Hunter, and Michigan's Donovan Edwards. But it's Edwards' appearance that unlocked Michigan's latest achievement.

With his appearance, Michigan is now the first team EVER to go back-to-back on the cover of NCAAF. The last edition of the game was released in 2013, before players started to demand NIL for their appearances in the game. That last edition has Denard Robinson on the cover in his blue and Maize.

To heap even MORE praise on the Wolverines, Edwards' appearance on the cover also marks Michigan's fourth time to grace the cover of the game, and made them the sole leader in most appearances on the cover of the video game. Edwards follows the aforementioned Robinson in 2013, Desmond Howard in 2005, and Charles Woodson in 1998.

Fun Fact, Neither Ohio State, nor Michigan State have ever been on the cover of video game.

NCAAF '25 will officially be released in both a standard, and deluxe edition on July 19 of this year (July 16 for those who pay for the early release), and could even feature your favorite players from the upcoming season, not just from Michigan, but also Michigan State, Central Michigan, and the Western Michigan Broncos.
