A police chase that lasted three days? Sounds like something straight out of a movie, right? Nope, this wild pursuit actually happened in Detroit recently.

So technically, it was not three days of nonstop chasing, but it was pretty close, and that is definitely how it felt to the police. It was more of an on-and-off pursuit that stretched across three days.

If a three-day police chase wasn’t wild enough on its own, to top it off, the suspect was driving a semi. Seriously.

This was not some quick dash around the block. No, this guy was driving a semi-truck cab, with no trailer attached, cruising through Dearborn, Detroit, Warren, Garden City, Westland, and more. The cops had to call off the chase a couple of times because it got too dangerous, but that dude just kept popping back up.

After the first chase was called off, you would think he would lie low. Nope. The semi-cab showed back up the very next day, and the police had to chase him again through those same cities and more. Once again, safety concerns forced officers to pull back.

It was not until around 2 p.m. on Monday that they finally caught up with him at Eastern Market in Detroit. No crazy crashes or injuries happened during the arrest, just a long overdue takedown.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, the suspect is accused of allegedly breaking into an ex’s home last Saturday morning. When police showed up, he reportedly hit a cruiser with his semi truck, and that is when the chase kicked off.

Yup, it’s pretty tough to get away and hide from police when you’re driving a semi.
