Relive The Magic: 80s Prom Spectacular At The Machine Shop

One of the most exciting events in Genesee County is the annual 80s Prom at The Machine Shop in Flint.

Dr. DeLorean and The Space Invaders will provide the soundtrack for the evening featuring all of your favorite songs from the 1980s. Think Duran Duran, Depechmode, Prince, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Peter Gabriel, Dire Straits, and more.

Dressing up for prom is encouraged but not mandatory. If you choose to wear formal attire, you could have the chance to be crowned Prom King or Prom Queen. The top prizes include gift certificates to some of the best bars and restaurants in Genesee County, and tickets to upcoming shows at the Machine Shop.

When is the 80s Prom at The Machine Shop?

80s Prom is Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Persons 18 and up are welcome, with proper identification.

Tickets are now available for just $15 in advance. You can purchase tickets through Etix here or at Paradise Express, located inside the Dort Mall in Flint, directly across from The Machine Shop.

80s Prom tickets can also be purchased at The Machine Shop during regular business hours.

Will there be food at 80s Prom?

Twizted Jerkey will be preparing food for purchase on the patio.
