This Once Popular Michigan Restaurant Just Closed Its Last Location
Well, Michigan, it's the end of an era. A once-popular restaurant chain known for its ice-cold beers, burgers, Monte Cristo sandwiches, and Irish-themed decor is officially gone from the state.
I don't know what's happening, but it feels like most of the restaurants many of us grew up with are either slowly disappearing or have already vanished. Some of those restaurants include Ponderosa, Ruby Tuesday, Chi-Chi's, and Hooters, just to name a few. However, Chi-Chi's is rumored to be making a comeback this year.
Well, you can now add Bennigan's to the list of once-popular restaurants that are no longer in Michigan. It's true, the last one standing has just closed its doors for good.
The last Bennigan's standing was located in Mt. Pleasant.
Wait, You Can Still Get Bennigan's in Michigan?
Now, if you're starting to freak out because you'll never get to sink your teeth into their famous Monte Cristo or the Turkey O'Toole, you're in luck. Well, if you live in Flint, anyway.
Bennigan's On The Fly in Flint is a quick-service version of Bennigan's that actually offers some of your favorite menu items, including the Monte Cristo and the Turkey O'Toole. It's located at 3142 Miller Rd. in Flint. They provide both delivery and takeout options. I had no idea this was even a thing.
While you may not be able to physically walk into a Bennigan's again, at least you can still get a taste of it.
