When Will Center Road in Grand Blanc Finally Reopen?

Oh, the construction in Genesee County, when will it end?

It feels like orange barrel season in Michigan never comes to an end, but in most cases, things start to reopen in November or at least before the snow flies.

While there are still many projects dragging on around Genesee County, the one that has had Grand Blanc residents losing their minds is the Center Road construction. Rightfully so. It has been going on since July, and it is a real slowdown for people trying to get around that area.

Back in July, we told you that Center Road was not expected to reopen until mid-November. Well, here we are in the first week of November, and things have been awfully quiet when it comes to an actual wrap-up date.

So the big question everyone keeps asking

When Will Center Road in Grand Blanc Finally Reopen?

The Genesee County Road Commission got back to me and said there is not a specific date yet, but the plan is still to reopen in the middle of the month. So as of now, we are still looking at about a week or two. That could shift a little, but the goal has not changed. And honestly, I am sure they want this wrapped up just as much as the rest of us do.

Why are they working on Center Road?

They have been repairing the bridge deck and updating that stretch of roadway to make it safer and smoother.
