Mystery Solved: Former Rite Aid in Grand Blanc to Become a Dollar Tree
Well, it looks like the mystery of what business is moving into the old Rite Aid building on the corner of Hill and Belsay Roads in Grand Blanc is solved.
Last month, we told you what we believed or what was rumored to be going into the former Rite Aid building in Grand Blanc. People on social media speculated about several businesses, including Advia Credit Union. It seemed legit because Google Maps had changed the listing from Rite Aid to Advia Credit Union. I'll be honest, it fooled me.
People also mentioned that they thought it would be a Dollar Tree because many former Rite Aid buildings have been converted into Dollar Tree stores. And as it turns out, those people were right.
Dollar Tree Coming to Grand Blanc
The mystery came to an end this week when the green Dollar Tree sign went up and was attached to the building.
This isn't the first Dollar Tree to pop up in Grand Blanc; there is another located on Saginaw Street as well.
According to ScrapeHero (a data company), as of February 18, 2025, there are 8,719 Dollar Tree stores in the United States.
Back in the day when Dollar Tree first got its start, it was a true dollar store. While they still call it Dollar Tree, many items now cost $1.25 up to $7.00. So, calling it a 'Dollar Tree' is a bit of a stretch, but at this point, the brand’s too established to change. It’s still known for offering low-cost products, even if the price has crept up a bit.
It's unclear when Dollar Tree will open, but it is more than likely very soon.
